Privacy and data
Genshillion has no accounts. This is everything it keeps, and where, including what the ads from Google may use. Last updated
On your device
Your browser saves the game on this device:
- a random player ID, made the first time you play
- each dive you play, with your answers, so a reload never loses it and its results stay open to you
- your finished dives’ scores, for your streak, best and last
- whether sound is on, and the language you picked
Clear this site’s data in your browser and all of it is gone.
What we keep
When you finish a dive, your browser sends your answers and your player ID. The server scores them and keeps the player ID, the dive number, your points and the time, and for each prompt which answer from its list you picked, or that you skipped it or ran out of time. That is how you see where you rank, and it shows which answers players really choose, so future rarity tiers are fairer. Dives replayed from the archive work the same way. What you type is checked, then dropped: the text itself is never saved. There is no name, email or account. Scores and picks are kept for as long as the game runs. Star Rail plays are kept the same way. When a Lore Timeline ends, the server keeps your player ID, the day number, how many cards you had in the right place out of seven, and the time.
Cookies
Not by the game. Genshillion itself sets no cookies; your browser saves only what the game needs to work. We count visits with Google Analytics, which may set cookies of its own. In the EU, the UK and Switzerland it sets none and stores nothing on your device. Ads can appear on any page of the site, including while you play. They are served by Google, and Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Where the law requires it, Google shows a message first so you can accept or decline. You can manage or turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.
Other services
The fonts come from Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address when they load (Google’s privacy policy). The host that serves the site handles each request, IP address included. We use IP addresses only to slow down spam, in memory, and never store or log them. Google, which serves the ads, receives your IP address and browser details when an ad loads (see how Google uses data from sites that use its services). Google Analytics counts visits (which pages are opened, from which country and device) without names or accounts. We never sell your data.
Data and compliance
Scores and picks are tied only to a random ID, so we cannot tell whose they are, and clearing this site’s data cuts the link for good. For any question or request under the GDPR, the CCPA, COPPA or any similar law, write to the address below. Genshillion is a general-audience site, not aimed at children under 13, and it never knowingly collects personal information from them: it asks for no name, email, age or account, and keeps nothing that identifies anyone. If a child under 13 has played, clearing this site’s data on their device removes everything stored there and cuts the server’s scores loose for good; a parent can also write to us at any time. If this notice changes, its date changes too.
